Do you know how to feel comfortable and safely ride a bike with traffic? Do you know how to teach your children to ride cautiously while on their own? Learn how to say “Yes!” to these and other questions this summer.
The League of American Bicyclists will offer their fundamental class, Traffic Skills 101 for the first and only time in Millwood this year. This ten hour course is offered in two sessions and is offered free to community members through a grant provided by the Washington State Department of Transportation.
This course provides instruction and guidance in the basic principles of vehicular bicycling. It will give you the confidence to ride safely and legally in traffic or on the trail. You will learn how to conduct bicycle safety checks, fix a flat, and rehearse on-bike skills and ways to increase safety in the case of a collision.
Register for this class HERE. Reservations are available on a first come, first-served basis. All participants will be asked to sign a provided liability waiver as a condition of participation.
These offers are made as a public service to encourage walking, biking and busing as alternative modes of transportation. Must present Walk Bike Bus participant coupon to redeem.
